Coffees from Guatemala

Introducing a special edition of coffees that our baristas selected from farmers directly in Guatemala
Why Guatemala?
Together with a team from the roaster Nordbeans, we – baristas from Ambiente – travelled to Guatemala with the aim of learning about the origin of our coffee and establishing personal relationships with its producers. While visiting the farms, we observed the entire process of cultivation and processing, learned a lot and tasted the first samples of coffees during the harvest. We thus selected exceptional lots with a specific story and origin.
Five coffees, five characters, five flavour profiles
You can choose from five different coffees: cherry-plum Natural Anaerobico Bourbon, mango-jasmine Nitro Washed Geisha and peach-raspberry Natural Kombucha Pacamara from the Finca Gascón farm, orange-apple Washed Yellow Pacamara from Finca Los Manantiales and chocolate-caramel Washed Caturra & Catuaí from an association of small farmers.
The motifs for the individual coffees were created by Guatemalan artist Markos Fischer, who also served as one of our baristas‘ guides. “I talked to people about the legends told about the surrounding countryside. There are various stories here about deities that are given offerings to protect nature, save trees from disease and mountains from landslides, and to bring a bountiful harvest. So I took inspiration from them and drew a character for each coffee that exudes the charm of Guatemala,” Markos says.
