Coffees from Guatemala

We are introducing a special edition of coffees selected by our baristas directly from farmers in Guatemala
Why Guatemala?
We traveled to Guatemala — we, the baristas from Ambiente — together with the team from Nordbeans. Our goal was to discover the origin of the coffee and to build personal relationships with the producers. On the farms, we followed the entire process of cultivation and processing, learned along the way, and during the harvest tasted the very first coffee samples. This allowed us to select exceptional lots with a clear origin and a distinct story.
Five coffees, five characters, five flavor profiles
You can choose from five coffees: the cherry-and-plum Natural Anaerobico Bourbon, the mango-and-jasmine Nitro Washed Geisha, and the peach-and-raspberry Natural Kombucha Pacamara from Finca Gascón; the orange-and-apple Washed Yellow Pacamara from Finca Los Manantiales; and the chocolate-and-caramel Washed Caturra & Catuaí from an association of small farmers.
The motifs for each coffee were created by Guatemalan artist Markos Fischer, who also served as one of our guides. “I spoke with local people about the legends told about the surrounding landscape. Many stories circulate here about deities who are offered sacrifices to protect nature — guarding trees from disease, mountains from landslides, and bringing abundant harvests. I drew inspiration from these stories and created a character for each coffee, inspired by the magic that Guatemala holds,” Markos explains.
