The carp has swum onto the plate. A limited edition of 13 porcelain plates combines Masker illustration with Michal Froněk design.

The carp by Jakub Matuška, aka Masker, has swum from gift cards to a limited edition of thirteen porcelain plates. These were designed by Michal Froněk from the Olgoj Chorchoj studio and produced by Matěj Polách, master of the UMPRUM ceramics workshop.

Masker created the first motif – a school of carp – for Ambiente back in 2023. The motif for 2024 is in the same design and color scheme, but has a different composition. "There is only one carp, whose fin I have twisted. Thanks to this, it fits beautifully on the round plate," Masker praises. His motif will be "seen" on porcelain for the first time.

The 40 cm diameter plate is a collector's item, but with proper care – hand washing and gentle handling – it can also be used for serving. It is made of French porcelain using a plaster mold casting technique.
