Print by Honza Zima, La Degustation
Limited print by Honza Zima – the resident photographer of restaurant La Degustation Bohême Bourgeoise.
A black-and-white photograph captures the atmosphere of a Michelin-star kitchen in its pure, unfiltered form, accentuated by its characteristic tiles. It is part of the book’s visual narrative, revealing a world that guests rarely get to see.
The print is released in a limited edition of 20 copies, each hand-signed and numbered by the author.
The selected photograph is part of the book The La Degustation Bohême Bourgeoise, which tells a story of courage, Czech tradition, and taste. In 2006, the restaurant at Haštalská 18 set out to earn both local and international recognition for Czech cuisine—and succeeded. In 2012, it was awarded a Michelin star, proudly proving that dishes like koprovka (dill sauce with beef), svíčková na smetaně (beef sirloin in cream sauce) and španělský ptáček (stuffed beef rolls) deserve a place on the highest culinary pedestal. The authentic atmosphere was captured by the restaurant’s longtime photographer Honza Zima, whose eye for detail and light gives the book its distinctive visual depth.
