Šveruňka

We didn't grow up on slivovitz or apricot brandy. Maybe that's why we can afford to approach them a little unorthodoxically. For example, by mixing them and putting them together in a barrel. These apricots were grown in Richard Stávka's organic orchards in Němčičky, and the plums are from our own gardens. From the slopes above the Berounka River and from a place in the Kokořín region, which is rightly called Paradise No. 2. The barrel was made by Mr. Fryzelka in Vlachovice from local oak. It has a medium char, which means that the inner walls are scorched by fire to a depth of about three millimeters. During two years of aging in the barrel, the clear distillate acquires a beautiful golden color. Cheers!
